The Working for America Institute of the AFL-CIO hired MFP to manage a $6 million federal grant award so the labor and apprenticeship experts could focus on executing the grant deliverables. MFP was also asked to assist in general project management support for other grants and projects.


The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hired MFP to organize the electronic endowment files in a cohesive and user-friendly way for the Development and Finance staff to evaluate the documents and history related to KC and NSO restricted endowments. MFP created memos to file for each donor, cleaned up and organized the donor files using specific file and naming conventions, and drafted an SOP for the staff to support this system moving forward.


Maine Public contracted MFP to organize, sort, curate, and merge data to specifications for monthly direct marketing mailings over the critical end-of-year period during a departmental vacancy. MFP documented the monthly procedures and then trained the new hire. When the position opened up a couple of years later, MFP was hired once again to cover the gap for 6 months and train the new hire.


The Machinists Institute hired MFP to be the data manager for a $2 million, two-year grant from Washington Jobs Initiative Sectoral Partnerships funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration’s Good Jobs Challenge.


TechnoServe hired MFP back in 2020, 2022, and 2023 to provide short-term coverage of key functions for parental leaves, including twice for the person who replaced her when she left the organization, the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO.


The Michigan Workforce Development Institute hired MFP to assist them with their subrecipient performance data requirements for two federal grants. MFP worked with their MIS Coordinator and Director of Apprenticeship to review and enter their data into the formats and databases required by the primary grant recipients.


The Health and Environmental Sciences Institute asked MFP to provide project management services related to the timely procurement and successful recording of lectures to be included in the Immuno-safety Training Course designed by the HESI Immuno-safety Committee. This included direct outreach to science lecturers, technical and logistical assistance with the course modules, and follow-up, follow-up, and more follow-up on lagging deliverables. HESI expanded MFP’s role to assist with online research to support additional scientific program efforts.


When the Executive Director of the Southern Documentary Fund gave notice, SDF hired MFP to support the Executive Director transition process by working closely with the Board and the outgoing Executive Director to collect and compile critical information, coordinate key action steps, and ensure a smooth transition to interim solutions.


The Maryland Global Initiatives Corporation, a nonprofit affiliate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), hired MFP to support the implementation of an enterprise resource planning system in several country platforms in sub-Saharan Africa. MFP assisted this giant undertaking by coordinating the monthly project newsletter, researching and developing recommendations for a recruitment portal, and creating the agenda, taking minutes, and tracking action items at weekly implementation meetings.


Hope in Focus (formerly Sofia Sees Hope) called MFP to assist with creating the data file required to transition from one fundraising software to another. MFP's experience with fundraising databases and Excel problem-solving tricks helped prepare the file for import into the new system in much less time than anticipated.


A year after leaving Arlington Academy of Hope (now REACH for Uganda), MFP was called in during a leadership transition to keep the operation running smoothly while the search began for a new leader. A year and a half after that, REACH called MFP again to help out in a pinch.


For Love of Children brought in MFP to support the development department during the search for a new department director. MFP supported staff by creating processes and procedures for daily tasks, assisting with a major fundraising event, and helping the Executive Director screen resumes and complete reference checks for development director candidates.
